Liganentum Cervi Sinew-strengthening Soup

Liganentum Cervi, Vignae Semen, Lablab Semen Album, Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix (Stir-baked), Eucommiae Cortex, Fructus Fici, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium
(For 2 to 4 persons) Prepare two carrots, half catty of Chinese water chestnuts, half of an arrowroot and one slice of ginger. Wash the carrots, Chinese water chestnuts, arrowroot and ginger thoroughly. Peel the skin of the carrots, Chinese water chestnuts and arrowroot. Cut the carrots and the arrowroot into pieces. Cut the Liganentum Cervi into small pieces and then soak with water until softened. After that, blanch the Liganentum Cervi pieces with ginger and spring onion. Wash the remaining ingredients and then soak with water. Prepare 6 soup bowls of water into a pot and heat to just boil. Put all ingredients into water to cook about an hour with gentle heating. Season the soup with proper amount of salt to serve.
